Nan-kuei Chen received his B.S. degree in physics from National Cheng- Kung University, Taiwan, in 1992. He received the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in biomedical engineering from Northwestern University, USA, in 1998 and 2001, respectively.

He is currently an Assistant Professor in Radiology at the Brigham and Women's Hospital, Harvard Medical School, USA. His main research interests include development of fast MR imaging techniques, MR artifact correction, functional MRI, and application of MR to studies of neurological diseases.
