Michele Cavallari, MD, PhD is an Instructor in Radiology at the Center for Neurological Imaging. He graduated in Medicine in 2005, then completed a residency in Neurology at the Sapienza University Hospital Sant’Andrea (Rome, Italy) and a PhD program in Clinical/Experimental Neuroscience and Psychiatry. His research aims at exploring neurological conditions through magnetic resonance imaging and digital retinal imaging, with particular emphasis on cognitive aging, cerebrovascular diseases, and multiple sclerosis. Dr. Cavallari is co-organizer of the biennial international conference Brain Ischemia and Stroke. Besides neuroscience, Michele Cavallari is a musician and founding member of the electronic jazz band Chat Noir.
